Annëken Farm is a love story. It all began when we fell in love and realized that we shared a common dream of living on a small farm in the country. So, we bought the farm, which had an old barn and an old chicken coop.
As happy as we were to be with each other, we soon felt that a farm without animals was …well, a little sad really.
We did not have a lot of land (a couple of acres) and we had fulltime jobs, so we did not plan to become fulltime farmers. We started with a few chickens, and then a few miniature goats. We really enjoyed the fresh eggs and the silly antics of our two playful and affectionate goat-friends.
But then we thought “Wouldn’t it be great if we could have animals that can actually lead to a profit…maybe a plan for early retirement?”. After intensive months of research, it soon became obvious that alpacas were the answer to our dreams. As a bonus, it would be hard to find more gentle and adorable creatures to raise!

Through our sales, breeding and follow-up services, we aim to help people like us – people with a little land and big dreams – to bring life to their small farm. Whether you wish to adopt a few farm pets, produce your own fiber, or build a herd of alpacas for investment purposes, we will accompany you through the process and assist you for as long and as often as you need us to establish your project.
